Vale - Fergus Cameron

Phillip Island has lost one of its great visionaries.

Fergus Cameron saw what this place could become long before many others did, and his vision helped shape the circuit we know and love today. Fergus was the club’s contact with the (then) owners from the mid 80s and many plans, visions and ideas were shared positively, and of course, many events delivered successfully together.

His contribution to Phillip Island, to motorsport and to our club will be felt for generations. But beyond the track, Fergus was a passionate, generous and determined character who cared deeply about the people and the place around him.

On behalf of everyone at the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club, our sincere condolences go to Fergus’ family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Vale Fergus.

Thank you for believing in Phillip Island.
